1 Admission & general rules

1 Staff and paid up Stall Holders, will be issued with the relevant Wrist Bands for relevant area access.

2. Persons with out the correct wrist band will be restricted access to those area’s and/or will not be able to participate in activities.

3. Proof of Booking and payment will be required to obtain a Wrist Band. Your tickets will be required on entrance

4. Festival Goers are solely responsible for their own actions and the actions and behavior of their guests. Unacceptable behavior by a Festival Goers or Festival Goers guest will reflect upon that Festival Goers and their future admission to this event.

5. Festival Goers are expected to respect the rules of the venue at which the event is being held.

6. All activities participated in at an event are at the Festival Goers risk, including sporting events.

7. Any Festival Goers not abiding by the rules and regulations of the Vetkoek and Vleis Festival and Venue may be expelled from the event by mutual consensus of the event officials.

2. Behavior policy

Festival Goers are expected to respect the rights & privacy of other Festival Goers. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the event.

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. Rowdy or aggressive behavior

2. Under age drinking

3. Vandalism or damage to property belonging to others

4. Profanity

5. Selling, or use in any form of listed drugs, which will result in immediate expulsion with no right to re-apply

6. Possession of fireworks, or any other potentially lethal device

7. Use or possession of firearms, Knives or any other form of weapon is strictly forbidden

8. Racial abuse and Political activity.

3. Minors

1. Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children at all times.

2. Children must be accompanied or supervised by an adult at all times.

3. At the event it is the responsibility of the parent to know the whereabouts of their children at all times.

4. Cars & Motorized Vehicles

1. Only official Entry and Exit points are to be used by motorized vehicles.

2. Only Festival Staff, Stall Holders and Emergency Services may gain vehicle access to the Festival Grounds.

3. For safety reasons ALL motorized vehicles will adhere to a 5 M.P.H. speed limit whilst on site.

4. Vehicles should be parked in the designated parking area and not on the field.

5. Only current UK or valid international driving licence holders may drive on the event sites. The event committee reserve the right to request sight of a valid licence at any time during an event and to take appropriate action where this is not provided.

6. Driving on the event site whilst under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. The Event Committee may, at their discretion, ask a Festival Goers to relinquish their vehicle keys if their behavior is deemed to be a risk to others. The event committee does not however take any responsibility for behavior of Festival Goers once they have left the event site, although responsible behavior is expected and should Festival Goers be deemed to be acting irresponsibly in this regard they may be prohibited from attending future events.

7. Motorbikes are not to be operated at the event without express permission from the event committee.

8. No quad bikes, mopeds or any other unlicensed motorized vehicles will be allowed at the event unless designated areas have been pre-assigned for these.

5. Pets

1. Pets are permitted to the event provided that the owner undertakes to ensure that they are not a nuisance or danger to other members.

2. Pets should remain in areas assigned to the Festival Goers and when exercised away from that area, should be kept on a short leash at all times.

3. Pets will not be allowed in the bar area, food catering/cooking area's, or around sporting/children’s events, except on a short leash and under strict control by an adult.

4. Pet owners are expected to clean up after their pets and any mess should be immediately picked up and disposed of in a hygienic manner.

5. When owners temporarily leave an event, pets must be taken with them.

 

6. Rules specific to the Smokin`Grill

BBQ Festival Festival event

In addition to the general rules specified in 1 through 6 above, Festival Goers are expected to adhere to the following rules at the event.

1. Radios, cassette players etc... Must be played at a volume that does not inconvenience others and noise curfews in designated ‘family areas’ must be adhered to.

2. Festival Goers may not bring and cook on their own Braai (BBQ) equipment except that of campers

3. Designated toilet facilities should be utilized.

4. Festival Goers are allowed to bring food into the area. However there are catering stalls at the festival.

5. Alcohol may Not be brought into the Event area. The Event is a family event and we need to ensure that all are welcome. Please refer to point 2. Of 2.

6. Alcohol will be available in the Entertainment area.

 

7. Suspension & Expulsion

1. The Event committees decision is final in all disputes

2. The Event committee reserve the right to bar entry to any of its main/sanctioned events, or expel from any of it’s main/sanctioned events, a person not considered by them to be desirable to the Event. The committee are not obliged to give an explanation of decisions

3. Any Festival Goers not abiding by the rules and regulations of the Event can be expelled.

4. Any Festival Goer, who has been suspended, after the said amount of time has elapsed, will have to apply in full to the Event Committee for admission.

All Festival Goers and persons who have agreed or are deemed to be subject to these Regulations acknowledge that neither the Event Committee, The Venue Staff nor any of its officers, employees or agents nor any officials shall be liable to them in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever which is or alleged to be occasioned by or to arise from any action taken or purportedly taken in pursuance of these Regulations or from any failure so to act even where the act or omission as the case may be shall have been negligent provided always that this shall not affect any liability of such persons in respect of personal injury occasioned by negligence.

The Event Rules and Regulations are set out as a reasonable coherent understanding and agreement for all to adhere, respect and comply. Should any Festival Goer at any time feel the need to compliment or complain. This must be done within 30 (thirty) days in writing to it's designated Event Official

Last but not least. We believe in all sincerity, we (Event Committee) must above all else protect your rights whilst at all sanctioned events. These rules and regulations are their to protect against those with little or no respect or common decency to our fellow man, woman or child whilst complying with all the England's laws. Your enjoyment is of paramount importance

5. Refunds on ticket sales will only be made in event of festival cancelation
